For the past 3 years I've been using a giant wooden 4x8ft work table and recently realized I only use a small portion of it. I've been addicted to welding lately so what better way then to build a new work bench.
I went ahead with a 3 tier system, a lower shelf with an inset for a foot rest, your main work table that will be 2" thick solid oak table that measures around 72" x 32" that I'll also mill down, glue up and build myself. And finally a top shelf to hold a couple speaker amps and a printer.
The frame is simple. Would be constructed out of standard 2"x2" square steel tubing from a local supplier and will be cut down, assembled and welded by me.
